Kyo-Kumihimo link is an emblem of Japanese craftsmanship with over 1200 years of history. The silk thread braiding techniques was historically created to manufacture kimonos belts. These links are considered sacred because they are connecting and meeting. In 1948 , a couple installs a Kyoto weaving factory , learn the various methods of braiding their ancestors , and have dedicated their lives and their descendants’, to preserve this knowledge.
